Rising Together: Belonging Beyond Borders (2026)
Across Arizona’s deserts, mountains, and borderlands, communities are working together to restore the landscapes that sustain them. From Indigenous knowledge and river restoration to climate resilience and regenerative agriculture, a diverse coalition of leaders is reimagining what it means to care for the land. As they confront drought, heat, and ecological loss, their efforts reveal a powerful truth: when people come together across cultures and borders, healing the land can also heal the communities who call it home.
Welcome Home (2024) - Produced for the Endangered Species Coalition
For nearly 80 years, wolves were missing from the landscape of Colorado – until recently. For the first time ever in the history of the world, an apex predator has been brought back to the landscape as a result of direct democracy – by the vote of the people of Colorado. Welcome Home celebrates the incredible story of wolf reintroduction to Colorado. This incredible conservation success story is unique in the world in how direct democracy led to the restoration of this iconic, large, and beloved North American carnivore. Welcome Home, frames this conversation around what home means and how Colorado is applying nearly 30 years of experience to restore wolves in a thoughtful way that both cares for our ecosystems and the people that are now living with them.
We produced this 20 minute film for the Endangered Species Coalition. They will be releasing this film soon! But in the meantime, to stay up to date with this film, you can see the latest screenings and showings here: www.endangered.org/welcomehome

Parenthood is a production of Silverback Films in association with All3Media International, BBC, The WNET Group and PBS.
Animal parents are just like us – they are fiercely protective of their young, raising them against all odds in a variety of environments. Witness amazing stories of dedication and sacrifice as animal parents embark on the greatest of all challenges. Parenthood premieres Wednesdays, February 4 – March 4 at 8/7c on PBS (check local listings).
Filmed over 3 years, on 6 continents, and in 23 countries, this five-part series, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, tells the stories of astonishing animal behaviors shaped by the environments they inhabit. Each habitat has its own unique challenges, but as the world changes rapidly around them, some parents have to adapt to a world shaped by humans. The stakes couldn’t be higher – success for all parents ensures the future of life on our planet.
“Parenthood is an extraordinary celebration of one of life’s great challenges: raising young,” said producer Jeff Wilson. “Working with the world’s best wildlife cinematographers and nature experts, we uncovered a huge number of fascinating and untold behaviors through incredible field craft and dedication. In an uncertain world, there are lessons to be learned from our animal characters that will resonate with all of us.”
Our chief filmmaker, Alan Lacy, worked alongside the talented team at Silverback Productions to bring the Burrowing owl sequences in “The Greatest Adventure” episode. His experience filming burrowing owls for our first production, Burrowing Owls: A Love Story carried him into filming the intimate lives of burrowing owls underground inside their burrows.

ORIGINAL FILMS
Not only do we produce films for nonprofits, or work with other production houses to capture the brilliance of nature for their shows, we also create our own original films. In fact, this is the main purpose of our organization! Below are several of our films we’ve produce, and others that are currently in production or development. We are working hard saving wildlife through our nature documentaries and conservation films.
A determined biologist has single handedly rescued a fragile population of burrowing owls in Eastern Oregon and now faces new challenges as the population continues to grow. As the burrowing owl population expands, he soon discovers there’s more behind the story than first meets the eye. As he continues to make new discoveries about the behavior of burrowing owls, a young family of burrowing owls face the challenges of growing up wild.
Two researchers are embarking on a journey to try and document the first female wolverine in the state of Oregon after recent sightings of a known male have consistently been made. They set out to determine if the reason he is sticking around may very well be due to the presence of a female, and if so, the potential of establishing Oregon’s first breeding pair.
In the American Southwest, a unique species of wolf unlike any other is making a comeback. Considered extinct nearly 40 years ago, the little known Mexican gray wolf has slowly pulled back from the very brink — against all odds. From a founding population of just seven animals, this species has slowly grown to a current wild population of approximately 100, only to face a new threat from within: its own genetics. As part of a bold recovery mission, one lone wolf is given a chance to offer new hope for the survival of her species. In telling this story, narrated by Chris Morgan, “Gray Area” explores whether there can be a balanced and sustainable future where ranchers, conservationists, locals, and biologists alike can coexist with this apex predator.

FILMS IN DEVELOPMENT
We are always developing new stories, and working to find charismatic champions of the natural world. Here are a few of the stories we believe in that we are currently raising funding for to tell these important stories!
